About the Critical Issues Program:

The Critical Issues Program provides a portal to decision-relevant, impartial geoscience information through its website, research database, webinars, and forums.

The Critical Issues website provides a portal to decision-relevant, impartial geoscience information. By aggregating material from multiple organizations in one place, the Critical Issues website makes it easier for users to find comprehensive information from across the geosciences.

The Critical Issues Research Database aggregates geoscience data and information products from state geological surveys, federal agencies, professional societies, and geoscience information providers to aid decision makers as they address issues at the intersection of the geosciences and society. Users can quickly search for topics, and link through to the documents on the websites of the organizations that produced the content.

Critical Issues Webinars cover a variety of topics that bring geoscientists and decision makers together to discuss solutions to challenges at the interface of geoscience and society.

Critical Issues Forums bring together leading experts to discuss topics at the intersection of Earth science and public policy.
